FEW THEY MAY BEā¦
Needless to say, we all at one time issue positive or negative comments about something .We are all humans and that is pretty plausible.
Nonetheless, did you know that words can have a meaning so profound? Iām not referring to the negative side only, nor the positive way where people speak blessings and they come true. Iām talking about both. Whether you want to break someoneās heart with hurting words, or you want to approve of someoneās good work by congratulating them, always be cautious with what you say.
I like giving examples to ascertain that clarity, comprehension and demystification are all achieved. There was this young guy, called Fred, in our French Class who had such passion in studying Law in his future years. He also talked to me in confidence about this and never shared it with anyone else .He had the ability to write argumentative essays on his own but held them back to himself on the grounds that he lacked confidence. He also had a burning desire to participate in debates but again, anxiety held him back.
I always took my time to encourage him and he was getting better at his confidence under the aegies of my support. Then came one time when our teacher of English issued us with papers and enquired that we write out an argumentative essay .I can vividly remember the question; something to do with āWomen being given more opportunities in the male-dominated world .We all wrote our essays and submitted them.
When the teacher returned with the scripts, he, as always, read out the most impeccable one. I recollect his words still. .āFred Humphreys, fabulous work indeed.ā
How many words were those? Three .Three powerful words that were sufficient to thrust the fearful Fred into the limelight in the wake of his impeccability in essay writing at school. He now took to writing essays in the School Magazine frequently and boldly took part in debates. He rose to sheer eminence not only at school but also in the nation, where he immensely contributed to literature and poetry in the Dailies .Later in life, he would be a successful lawyer and writer. All these because of three words.
No matter how many words you speak, take care. It could turn out to be a bottomless pit of misery for your friend, or countless years of glee for your brother.
2014 HERE WE COME.

Happy New Year guys! We are almost drawing the curtain over 2013 and it is wise, if not mandatory, to reflect back, unearth any possible achievements and failures and consequently come up with New Year Resolutions.
Iāve always, needless to say, done this but Iām afraid there comes a time when life pushes you and thrusts you here and there, making our goals fall by the wayside. However, itās always better to try no matter the circumstances at hand.
Iāve had a glimpse of my 2013 and I detected some factors that kept holding me back:
–Lack of self-control and being so temperamental, more specifically, indignant with people when Iām corrected
-Fear for the worst even when success is apparent
-The act of cherishing procrastination like it were my lover
-Always absent-minded and consequently making silly mistakes.
-Succumbing to immense anxiety, almost fleeing my problems.
-Often embracing lateness, even when dinner is ready
-Too contemplative on matters of little value
-Not flexible. When a situation goes unexpected, I find it difficult to cope.
-Not visiting friends often, even when sometimes they invite me to parties
-And oh! Eating like Iāve been in a desert for ages!
Ā
I hope Iāll succeed in making necessary changes. Iāve actually already come up with my targets and I hope to stick by them always. Iād like to recognize the presence of you, my audience, as Iāve succeeded in many fields under the aegies of your support. Iāll also do everything in my power to ascertain that my blog posts are streets ahead of the normal. Thank you once again and have a prosperous 2014!
Ronnie.

The Pasture-Robert Frost.
Yeah right.I decided to visit a farmland just so as to get an impeccable photo to match the poem. As you read through Robert Frost’s poem, please take note of such ideas:
–The reason the speaker might want a companion
–what a companion might add to the experience
–The task the speaker describes
–The attitude towards nature.
The Pasture.
I’m going to clean the pasture spring;
I’ll only stop to rake the leaves away
(And wait to watch the water clear, I may):
I shan’t be gone long.-You come too.
I’m going to fetch the little calf
That’s standing by the mother . It’s so young
It totters when she licks it with her tongue.
I shan’t be gone long.-You come too.

Happy holidays everyone!I hope you find this poem interesting, just like I did.
For long I ran from nightmares
I was not a slave of superstition
Then there was a voice
Slim but rather hoarse
That beckoned to me
Yet said nothing worth understanding
“Voice:just what are you saying?”
I kept asking,but no reply
It grabbed my arm with its jaws
Powerful jaws;I could not resist
And drove me to the shores
Of a vast sea;I knew not its name
Then called to me:
“Tell me what you see.”
Like it was real, right next to me,
I answered,with a shaky voice
“I see a sinking ship,
With nobody to save it.”
And there was a whirl wind
The ship sunk beyond sight
It was as if my ears
Had widely opened up
And the voice said,
Harshly;
“Just like the ship has sunk,
With nobody to save it,
So will your foes drown and fade
Never to return!”
It resonated with immense clarity
And sobriety
Then left abruptly,
Leaving me alone,by the shores,dazed.
Christmas waves…
Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.

Go Wild With Glee.
Happy holidays everyone!Well,needless to say,the festive season is already here with us,most importantly,Christmas Day.I felt a little poem of inspiration,wishing you a Merry Christmas,would do.Have a look.
This life as you see
Is short of bliss,my dear
When chances such as these
Knock at your door,please
Arise,get everyone
Go wild with glee
And cherish the day
Our Lord was born
With song,dance and praise
And let celebration reign supreme!
What, clearly,is the meaning of success?Getting a job you worked hard for, excelling in your papers, trouncing your enemies or what? And what kind of people really relish success immensely as compared to others?Let’s see Emily’s view of success:
SUCCESS is counted sweetest
By those who ne’re succeed
To comprehend a nectar
Requires sorest need
Not one of all the purple host
Who took the flag to-day
Can tell the definition,
So clear,of victory
As he,defeated,dying,
On whose forbidden ear
The distant strengths of triumph
Break,agonized and clear.
Forced To Be Kind
Did you read that?Forced,I mean, forced to be kind?
Be careful. If you feel you’re ill-mannered,try hard to sweep thatĀ behaviorĀ under the carpet or else…
He invited many,few came
He texted a number,a handful replied
He shot his own video,(nice video),no likes,no comments
He phoned,nobody picked up
He had one choice,however
To change his morals
Tear Me Apart,I beg You.
Occasionally when we reflect on our past,we may feel awkward, guilty and responsible for any damage that was caused.Ever felt this way?Well I did.
I was a kid then
And I saw them!
Masked they were
Dark clothes they wore
They did what they could
Bring the party to an abrupt stop
Burning down the house
Killing scores,sadly
I reported not
To the authorities
Overcome by fear,I was
Kill me God!I was a fool!
Tear me apart,I beg you!
Be Patient Even With Dreams
This was one of those bitter experiences when I felt so downcast and as if my world wasĀ crumbling, only for it to turn out hilarious!
This is what mama felt
When I resolved to join the band
“Studies first!Concentrate!”
Ensued with a resounding slap.
“You’re too young a kid to sing!”
Said she,with a severe kick
I had to let my dream go
A dream I thought would thrust me high
Mama later brought home a drum
Then a guitar, keyboard and the violin
“Have these;as you study.”
Mama had changed her mind?
And now I’ve learnt already
To be patient even with dreams.
Cheers!Be encouraged this Saturday!
Do not be disturbed with your past failures. You tried and that’s worth an effort.
Masons when they start upon Ā a building,
Are careful to test out the scaffolding;
Make sure that planks wont slip at busy points,
Secure all ladders,tighten bolted joints.
And yet all this comes down when the job’s done
Showing off walls of sure and solid stone.
So if my dear, there sometimes seem to be
Old bridges breaking between you and me
Never fear.We may let the scaffolds fall
Confident that we have built our wall.
