Whereas witches are becoming a common figure in modern supernatural movies and even in the past,it would be difficult to imagin that some exist and live in the present world.
Mythically,it is believed in African society at most that a father could curse a son.
This may result when a son proves incorrigible and naughty,and the father fumes out and sends ‘curses’ to the child as punishment.
I always tend to think this is purely mythical as a was of restoring discipline to the young ones.
